    Ambient temp display bulb?

Over the weekend I replaced 3 dash cluster bulbs. I told the local Audi dealer what I required, one for the clock, one for the top left hand side of the rev counter and one for the ambient temp display. The Audi dealer gave me 3 little bulbs that had orange backs on them (it was a PITA to take off and replace the little red rubber covers off the old bulbs and put them on the new blubs), anyway the temp display still cant be read at night. Did the Audi dealer give me the wrong bulb for the temp display bulb?

The ambient temperature display is a little (lot?) more complicated. You have to take the unit out and solder in a new bulb!

    See here: http://www.s2-audi.co.uk/tech_articl...mp_display.htm

Jas11n also did a great guide on here too...

    Cheers,

Done a couple of these recently and Jas's guide is very helpful. A bit fiddly but can be done within an hour.
