    uprated coils.

    need help on wiring. i have brought 034 high output DIS coils with build in ttl driver. does any one know how to wire them up into a ABY? they have a 5 pin layout connetor. labled A to E and they are A=EST high,ttl trigger
    B=EST low,ttl ground
    C= Secondary ground
    D=Battery ground
    E=Battery +
    does any one know what the 3 wires are which go to my standard coils?? 034 do a wiring harness i found out to do the job but seems like alot of money for abit of wiring. and been told its possable to make it meself as it not much of a harness. can any body help me????

    If I understand this properly - these coils do NOT use the factory POS amplifiers as they are essentially built into the coil so you need t

    034 do charge a lot for their looms, but thats the price you pay for convenience - especially if you can't do electrics. Checkout this document of mine and pay attention to pages 13 - 16. When you understand this its easy to create your own loom.

    Take cylinder one for example... You need to wire up as follows - with reference to my page 16.

    A = T4g/4 (trigger from ECU pin 01)
    B = T4g/2 (0V)
    C = 0V
    D = 0V
    E = T3k/1 (12V)

      Well....If it were me, I would have just bought the 034 harness (loom) as well. That way, if something goes wrong with the coils (or wiring) you might be able to go back to them for help/warantee. As a DIY, your kind of on your own.

      If you really want to do the DIY, you *could* start by looking at the DIY for the 1.8t coil packs that I did back in 2005:

      One of the significant problems back then was finding a four pin connector that could plug into the factory harness, in place of the 351A POS units. With help from various people, we finally tracked down the proper connector: its an AMP connector available as a VOLVO part, as shown here, with the pins and the grommets:

        How did you end up with the final wiring ? More practical experiences (without aftermarker ecu) ?
