HID or PIAA Xtreme Series for Headlamps?

    Dear All,

I've now got myself a lovely unmolested N300 S2 Avant. I just love it. However, the rather standard headlamps need improving so I'm wondering which route to go down, HID's or PIAA Xtremes?

I've had HIDs before on my other S2 but I could do without the hassle of fitting them (unless there is a really neat, tidy and easy solution to this) but I'm willing to do this if the PIAAs aren't even a close match.

I'm open to your thoughts... (and pictures so that I can do a visual comparison.)

    Cheers.

No contest, HIDs win hands down.

If you choose the right set they are "plug n play" apart from cutting a hole in the back headlight cover for the wiring to pass through.

Those look great. What side-light bulbs are you using?

        Another question...

...which is the best HID kit on the market? There are so many cheapies on eBay I just don't know where to start. I'm also after a kit that will mount very easily like the VAGPARTS kits used to. Any ideas?

The HID's are from www.hids4u.co.uk, Matt put them on the car before I got it off him.
They are expensive, but much better than the 30 quid ebay from china ones I had on my old S2!
Not sure what make the sidelights are, but they are LED ones to match

You need an H1 kit, I'd recomend 4300K, 5000K or 6000K colour temperature.

If it were me I'd try these for £31 Ebay item number 160380034539 or go Dest's route for £100+
