Don't bother with mains for the reasons above but you will need some LED sidelights and some white bulbs to match 6k HIDs as yellow stock bulbs and HIDs look a bit funny (I've still got stock mains). I've got JAM Performance kits on both my cars (they used to trade on ebay but I think they're not there any more). You can also get a kit for the fogs.

Looks better than the kit I got for mine for the same price and nice small balasts too. Check the feedback but looks liek the rest TBH.
Don't be suprised if the autocheck throws a wobbler, check out the k pin mod to stop it

I much prefer testing cars with HIDs fitted (in projector lenses), far clearer beam image!!

The criteria for headlamp testing is here:http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_120.htm
Legally
they can only be fitted to vehicles with headlamp washers and auto levelling- but thats not part of an MOT- thats for the police to decide.
The only problem i've ever had with HIDs on a car i tested is ones that were fitted to a car with non projector lenses causing scatter and it failed on beam image. We fitted standard bulbs set them up and it passed...........allegedly......:mischeif:Comment

I have been thinking about fitting HIDs to my MK2 Golf... and from what you are saying... They would infact be illegal!!I much prefer testing cars with HIDs fitted (in projector lenses), far clearer beam image!!

Hids4you list a converted seal beam unit for classic cars so that seems to conflict a little
have they got to bd fitted to an elipsoid headlamp or can it be any type of headlight? I'm thinking my ur's as they are seriously piss poor headlightsComment

unless they are self levelling and have head light wash they are illegal

Still stand by my comment in non projector type lights saw another one on the way home, and he was on the other side of the motorway
