    Gremlins setting in....

Two strange things have started in the last week,

    a) Sometimes the relay for the radiator fan cuts in and out about 20 times a second. Then stays on for a while as normal.

    2) Relay for the indicators has started doing the same, "tick, tock, t-t-t-tick, tock" etc etc. Once every 30 seconds or so.

Both sound as though they have a bad conenction but re-seating them all had no effect, fuse box is also dry. Any ideas? ...or is this going to get expensive?

Sounds a bit odd but i had indicator and side light problems (blowing blubs) and disco lights when I had:

Replaced the tail light with the wrong bulb

    And

Had water in the rear light cluster and corroded terminals.

Replaced with correct bulb and cleaned the contacts and all was well again. May not be in the least bit related but just worth checking.

        Mark,

It kind.... of sounds like the fusbox mate... don't go replacing it on my guess though, it just sounds too weird.. Maybe earth's to the fusebox? You've got to check ALL the vehicle earths as a basic precaution, there are quite a few earths too...

Not that you'd want to do this... but I have a spare fusebox and you're welcome to 'try' it any time....

Its dead now, turn signals gives off a really loud bzzzzzt from the relay but no flashing lights. ....Just to make rush hour city traffic more interesting

New relay on order, fingers crossed ...

            Hey bud

Did the new relay solve this issue? My radiator relay is doing the same thing and it is just the rad relay I think. Reason behind it is I replaced the rad and secondary water pump over the weekend and since then there is a relay that does the tick thing like yours did, 20 odd times a second before the rad kicks in,mthen it does it when it stops running too. Did a new relay solve this?

            Thanks
            Chris

I have no clue, that was so long ago i dont remember what i did. I have never removed the fusebox from that car so the relay must have cured it.
