Ok cheers guys, I was not aware they existed at all. Are they worth fitting over the standard bulbs if you are changing a bulb anyway?

LEDs tend to be very directional so quite often you get brighter and darker areas behind your dial for example. They're perfect for switch gear etc though

Back in the olden days I used ultrabright T5 LEDs in the original bulb holders. It really freshened up the oldy orange looking dash lights to red. One of those subtle little mods.
I took some before and after photos, but I''ll have to search the archives.

I found this when I fitted them to my orginal cluster, and I have to say it didn't improve the lighting effect, if anything in some respects it made them worse...

Only after fitting S2 Bo's plasma dials and LED's did it improve...

I did fit Red LED to the heater dials and after a week I had to change them back to bulbs as it only lit half the dials....

To be honest i think when i did my dash i was maybe lucky and got some wide angled leds. I didnt ask for wide angled but it seems to light the dash very well.

Were these of the "flat head" type? I'm guessing this will reduce the width of the light.
