My central locking has stopped working ,the car wont lock with the fob or the key it just wont turn in the lock on the drivers door or.
I can hear the pump working in the boot and the plungger go's down on the passenger side but pops straight up again, the key will only turn in the boot not in the doors.
If the key doesnt want to turn then it would imply something is stuck in the mechanism stopping it - the CL pump wouldnt stop you turning the key. Strange its in both doors at once tho. At the very least you'd be able to turn it in the lock direction without any issues.
Might be worth taking the door card off to take a look.
Also, are the doors properly closed - silly sounding question i know, but the drivers door doesnt allow it to be locked without the door being closed to stop you locking keys inside the car.

Still can't figger out this problem, gave the locks a little wd40 and left them for a while,
still no joy, key is rock solid on both doors, won't turn in ether direction, the fob moves the plunger a little on the drivers door but not enough to lock it,plunger go's all the way down on the passinger door but comes straight back up,I can hear it trying to work.
I have discovered that the electric windows have stopped working I don't know if this can be connected or just coincedence but there is power there as the electric mirrors work.
Any advise before I try and take it to bits would be appreciated
As above, the key wont turn if you try to lock it if the door is open, so maybe the lock does'nt 'know' the door is actually shut?
I assume there is something in the mechanism to allow this, but it seems odd that its both door locks having the same problem.
To me, that suggests its not the actual locks at fault, unless its a huge coincidence!
I had this problem once. Proper PITA, as I had no way to lock the car. I remember I was up in Somerset at the time, so I had to return to the safety of Devon where I could leave it unlocked.
But it was just after I fitted some carbon door trims. One of the fixings was catching the plunger bar behind the doorcard. It may be worth taking the doorcard off to have a look to see if there's anything there.
