    West coast? USA?

If GB then Quattro corner, if not the local motor factors.

Only one of the two in the water-rail is a temp sensor (the MFTS), the other is a temp switch that turns the after-run pump on.

Here is a post (with PNs) that talks about the G62, the MFTS and the temp switch:

Here is an auxilliary (after-run) pump post that might be useful:

I think what you are talking about is the climate control coolant temperature sensor, located in a T-fitting at the back of the engine. Info, regarding that sensor and the T are found (with AAN PNs, should be the same (?)) here:

            Thanks again
Does this control wheter the heater blows or not? Sometimes it wont blow at all when I set it to max airflow thru the heater.

The sensor really has very little to do with airflow other than the automatic climate control set on automatic will not blow air until the water temp is a up enough so the airflow doesn't chill you. Otherwise it should blow hot air, as long as a) the fan is working and b) the directional flaps are working (controlled by small electric motors).

I suggest you check out this post and use the automatic climate control to perform a diagnostic of itself:
