Battery harness: can't believe I got the wrong one!

    Hi all,

Stopped by my dealer today to pick up more parts for the coupe. The main thing I've been waiting for is the battery wiring, because I've moved the battery to the back.

ETKA shows the battery wiring to include connections and plugs for both the starter and the alternator. However, the part they delivered to me was no more than a thick power cable with a o-connector in one end and a terminal in the other.

The price of the thing? No more than £130
Because the part was ordered from germany, the dealer wouldn't return it. Hence I'm stuck with a 3m long power cable worth £40/m.

Only way I can get my money or the right part back is by proing they gave me the wrong part. So who messed up? Them or me?

        Bump.

I'm also interested in buying if people have the wires and cables lying around.

That's strange. That wiring loom has been obsolete since 2008! When did you buy it?

I would of expected the 225 number to be the one to the engine. The 226 is listed as central electrics which I would have thought went to the fuse panel.

            A week ago or so

I guess I'll have to sit around and wait for something to show up.

Doesn't the OEM battery cable split into at least 5 cables in the engine bay?

              2 for the starter
              3 for the alternator
