    Window washers??

    Hi all,

weirdly the windscreen washers seem to have stopped working although the headlight washer still works when lights on.......

Is it a new pumpjobby??? Do they run off the same pump or different ones??

    Cheers

Its different pumps, sit side by side at the bottom of the tank. Front wheel off and arch liner out and it should be accessible.

Might want to pull the pipe out the jet in the bonnet just to confirm no water is getting that far, also check they are not on different circuits in the fuse box, don't imagine they would be though.

Been having this again for the past few months - last time it was sorted with a bit of a jiggle round in the stalk cluster, sorted the rear and front washer out. Now just done it again and got the rear back but this time no front windscreen washer, the light washers are working though. Next thing to check?
Thoughts as it is nearly road gritting time and I done fancy not being able to see where I am going.

Try sqirting WD40 into the connections under the steering column cowel. Fixed my rear one when I did that.

Cheers, done that matey - seems to be the copper connections in the housing itself - have to take the whole thing apart and clean it all out which is a very fiddly job, just got to sort the fronts to get it all done...... aargh

I might have an old set of stalks if that'd be useful to you...?

The motors themselves sieze up very easily especially if not used. Given that you can get new motors for under £10, that may be the easiset way to go.
