00655 - Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter Passenger Side (N154)

i have this code poping out again after a road bump. I was getting it a few months ago and ended up buying a new seatbelt.Then when i replaced it, it came back up and realised it could be the cable tree.

Would it be wise to go for a replacement cable tree for this thing? I bought a plug from ebay which is similar to the belt tensioner and redid the wiring on that side with no success. Code pops up immediatelly.

Also, if you take the bulb off the dash, does that render the Airbags system non functional? Would they work in a crash( minus the passenger belt tensioner)? or would the whole system go offline?

this damn thing never seizes to amaze me....

after fiddling around with it, i put in the new plug, and start playing around with the dash bulb. Once i was happy masking the illumination surface and testing it, what do you know? the code stopped coming up! this is rediculus!!! Not only it appears that the plug i got from an MG car works nicely, but also it decided to stop harrassing me in the meantime...

anyway, does anyone know if such a code for the belts comes up, would the rest of the system still work on a collision? would the airbags ignite?
