I've got Audi RS2 1994 with IR keys and factory alarm. Everything works fine except a keys.
I've change batteries in keys but still can't close or open my car from the key button.
I think I must register this keys... but how?
Or, maybe, both IR receivers broken? How can I check this receivers?
You need two keys. One in the ignition and then the other to point at the IR reciever. I had this problem with my Avant when I bought it and the owners manual says you just need to lock it and press the button. It only worked once the ignition was on and then lock it and press the button.
Ben
the best intentions are fraught with disappointment - gil grissom
1. Turn ignition on by one key.
2. Close the door.
3. Push the button on main key (ignition still on).
4. Lock the door by main key.
5. Push the button on main key (ignition still on, alarm beeped).
6. Turn of the ignition.
As I understand My key Is Ok and my IR receiver worked fine (I hear beep then I push the button on the main key).
But still nothing happened then I try to lock the car by IR Key....
Maybe in manual for S2 someone got this info? How to delete old key from the car memory? I suppose VAG-COM needed for this operation. But how I can use VAG-COM for it?
