Mount S2 3 spoke airbag steering wheel instead of 4 spoke one

Hello friends, my S2 Coupe ABY was equipped with driver earlier 4 spoke airbag steering wheel but now I have a 3 spoke S2 steering wheel without airbag, is possible to mount 3 spoke S2 airbag steering wheel and what I need for mount it?
Airbag ecu is the same for 4 spoke and 3 spoke? I think that I need also something for connect airbag loom with airbag in the steering wheel, etc.
Is airbag ecu of S2 resetable or not? Because had in memory one crash, thanks a lot!
    Bye

The airbag ECU is the same, you can use the one from the 4 spoke.

To mount a 3 spoke airbag steering wheel, you need the covers behind the steering wheel also.

In the covers you need to mount the electrical things for indicators and wipers from the old covers or you need a the covers with the switches still in it.

    Good luck!

mines a 1995 which had a 4 spoke airbag wheel fitted, I changed it to a 3 spoke airbag wheel, it was a straight swap did not need to change anything else just the wheel, not sure on resetting the ecu tho.

        Ok, that's clear.

Mine had also 4spoke airbag, but is from 93 and needs the 95 covers.

You have to look at the covers behind the steeringwheel than. If the cover you now have is like the one on the leftside of the picture, you need the covers from the 3spoke airbag wheel.

If the covers you now have are like the one on the right side of the picture, it should be a straight swap.

I was able to reset the airbag light with Vagcom, but I'm not gonna advise that.

Hello, the cover on the left is the cover for 4 spoke airbag steering wheel?
              Thanks!

Me and S2spike both had a 4spoke airbagger, but mine was 1993 and his was 1995. I had the cover on the left, and S2spike the cover at the right. So you have to look to see what you now have.

But the covers aren't so expensive.
