Digital unit for A/C led malfunction

Drove the rs today after a few days and apparently the left panel on the digital A/C unit decided that it wouldn't turn on with the rest of the inner dash lights. Unfortunatelly since this is part of the whole unit, it needs dismantling and probably resoldering of the LED.

anyone has any info on this? or photos!?

this unit is the same as the early A4/A3 so there should be something out there!

Hello, in the climatronic there are 4 bulbs if I remember well, so probably one bulb is burn.

what kind of bulbs are there involved? the usual that audi uses?

Yeah, i've seen them before in a few locations on s2's etc.

are you sure you are talking about the digital unit? because i remember the ones that S2 have with the 3 dials and the digital unit is completelly different.

Hello, originally aren't led, are bulbs, I think 1.2 watt everyone, Osram with orange socket.

You can mount also 2 watt bulbs for more light but I don't know if LCD can be damaged from more heat.

Do NOT install higher power lamps than what is fitted...

There are definitely some normal illumination bulbs though should be an easy fix.

Very good Paul, I think too that install higher power lamps than original isn't a good idea.
