    Fuel pump relay ¿FUSE?

    Hi all!

In the Spanish forum, we don´t agree why the fuel pump relay in the fusebox has a plug for a fuse.

Some one told me that it was for some kind of sercive or something, but when I bought my car, the fuse was in, and now after some repairing the car is running well with it, and I don´t know if it´s good or not....

    Can anyone tell me something?

    THANKs!

Forget to say, the fuse is the yellow one in the relay number 215!

And now, the fusebox is new, and it´s without dust and clean!

The fuse should only be placed on this relay there for ~4 seconds then removed for diagnostic purposes (i.e., to view the fault codes). The codes are a series of flashes which can be viewed via the engine check light on the instrument cluster.

Have you confirmed this by starting the car with the fuse out, inserting it for 4 seconds then removing it again?
Maybe you car isn't wired for this or the engine check lamp has blown.

Otherwise, I would use the method described here. You should do this without the fuse in the fuel pump relay of course.

          Good luck.
