    Take away the Autocheck-system

    I`ve recently bought my self a `95 S2-instrumentcluster im going to mount in my `89 CQ20V.
    This cluster have a consumption-computer and a Autocheck and I`ve only got the Mini-check-system in my Coupe.
    When I testet this in the car the warninglights in the Autochech flashed (offcourse) because i had`nt wired it.
    For now I`ve just put on the Mini-check on the S2-instrument but I want the computer!

    My question is, how do I rewire the Auto-Check so it "thinks" its OK?
    Can i put every signal to ground or does it need some other signals too?
    Have anyone got a scetch of which wire goes where/ to which sensor?

    you need to connect:

    from pin -> to pin
    3 -> 23
    4 -> 17
    7 -> 19

    18 and 25 on ground

      Thank you!
      So the wire from pin 3, 4, 7 (white connector) goes to wich other connector?
      The yellow or the blue behind the instrumentcluster?

        none of them!

        they go to the larger connector on the back of the autocheck.

          I`m sorry, I don`t follow you
          Can you be a little more spesific?

          There are three big connectors. One white (to the Autocheck), one blue and one yellow.

          To make the Autocheck say "OK" i need to connect pin 3,4, 7 from the white connector to the wires from an other connector, witch one? (the one with 23, 17 and 19)
          And then take pin 18 and pin 25 on the white connector to ground.

            look behind the autocheck. you will see a long string of pins with 2 rows of pins. you dont have the connector for this, because you have the small minicheck white connector. you need to connect the wires from the small white minicheck connector to this pins behind the AC.

              Oh sorry, I did`nt mension that`I`ve got the original big white connector to the AC from a wrecked S2 coupe with the AutoCheck-system.
              I`ve cutted this of the orginal S2-harness with som wirelenghts so i can wire the missing signales to trick the AC that everythink is OK.

              On my original instrumentcluster and harness from `89 20v Coupe there are no seperat small white connector for the mini-check, this is wired inside the instrument.
              I`ve never heared about this?

              So, now that I`ve got the big white connector, which wires do I need to wire up to the original harness to simulate a "OK" in the AutoCheck?

              Do you know what the different Pins on the big white connector are for?

              This is how it looks like now:
              (There are only the blue and the yellow connector in the original harness, ive connected the black one and now trying to connect the white one)

                you dont have the small white connector?? hmmm that is istrange, maybe because the car is so old...

                if you had the small white connector, then the wires would be:

                3 gn/bl Drehzahlsignal
                4 ws/gr Öldruckschalter 2.5bar, 1.8bar oder 0.9bar
                7 bl/sw Öldruckschalter 0.3bar

                18 gr Lampenkontrolle vorn on ground
                25 ro Lampenkontrolle hinten on ground

                  Ok, is this every signal you have to wire up to make the Autocheck say "OK"?
                  Don`t you get some other warninglights to?

                          Hi guys,

                          I've done this same mod and I get the display to say OK, however after about five seconds I get the oil light flashing. What ever I do I can't get it to go off.
                          I've checked the two oil pressure switch outputs and they seem to be working correctly.

                          Can anyone help please.

                              I did triple check it, the ws/gr goes to earth when the pressure is good and the bl/sw goes to earth when pressure is low. Is that the correct behaviour.
