    S4 after run relay

Hello.....I believe that there are 2 after run relays, the main one is under the bonnet, is the auxillery panel behind the dash on the drivers side?
I can hear a relay intermitantly clicking behind the dash when the ignition is off and the fan stays on.
I have disconnected the fan but this relay is draining the battery overnight.
Once I find the auxillery panel, which relay is it please?
    Thanks

No 324... And they are prone to this problem...

I also swapped out the one in the main fusebox....

This thread might be useful, tho' it refers to my s6 so maybe there are small differences.

If the 324 relay is fubar'd it not only keeps running the fan but the after run pump, as explained here (note: 324 location is for LHD car):

I think mine is doing the same - I charge it but over night it runs out of juice. When I get in the car there is a clicking sound from the r/h/s of the dash which ceases when I put the key in and turn the ignition as far over before the engine would try to fire. I jump it and it lastfor a few hours but in no time its clicking away and wont turn over.......

If the run on circuit is draining the battery, check the fan itsself. My fan had come off the end of the motor!! The motor was spinning for ages tyring to cool the poor thing down, to the point that it turned down the metal bit of the motor to a point!!!

The clicking is the after run 324 relay. It stops when you try to start the car because it is on the load reduction circuit that kills all extraneous loads (including headlights, radio, wipers, etc) in order to funnel as many little volts as a possible to the starter motor.

The solution will likely be replacing the 324 relay.

Open passenger door, pry off the 1" wide door sill trim to expose 3 screws. Open them to allow you to lift the sill trim a little bit.
Then just inside the door you'll see a big piece of trim that goes up along where the hinge for the door is and also in along where the passengers left foot would be. It's only fixed with one screw. Remove the screw and carefully pull back the trim. Relay located in there.

Ebay.com & you should get them in the US. $25 give or take.
