    Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor in RS2?

Still working on getting the preliminary wiring finalized on the RS2. I know that most Audis use the longitudinal acceleration sensor, but I don't find a connector for one on the RS2's ABS harness. I do not find it listed in ETKA either.

So my question is does the RS2 use one? Can someone helpful soul with a RS2 lift up their cover under the seat and have a look?

Tom: I poked around Kate and can't find any reference to separate acceleration sensors (I did find a "thrust" sensor on the V6 engine) for either the UrS4 or S6 or the RS2. On that basis, and the orientation of how the air bag control module is mounted on the transmission hump, I think the air bag-related acceleration sensors (side and longitudinal) are inside that module. The seat belt acceleration "sensor" (mechanical) is going to be inside the inertia reel.

I am sure I will be corrected (as needed).

The ABS longitudinal acceleration sensor was only on the first ABS systems. The later models dont have that.
      Hope this helps!

That was deleted circa 1992 when ABY phased in. The ABS without cancel switch does NOT have longitudinal sensor.

That makes sense as I did notice that the sensor was only listed on 1993 cars and down here in the states and I couldn't find one on my 1994 S4 or 1995 S6 avant. The RS2 ABS harness (1995) definitely does not have a connection for it.

I had one mounted in the bracket next to the diff box.........guess I remove it. It's weird that Audi still used the bracket that provides the mounting for it beside the diff box even though it's no longer used. Very un-german.
