    Eh? Head light problem

I've done a few forum searches, but couldn't come up with anything....

Bought my S2 a few months ago, and it came with uprated headlamps, only thing is I think they've been wired in wrong. Basically dipped work fine but whilst I can 'flash' with the main beams they will not stay on. Any had this issue before?

    Any help appreciated.

I had a similar problem on my RS2. It was not a headlight problem but a stalk problem.
I took the stalk to bits and cleaned up all the electrical contacts. This sorted the
    problem.

The fact that you can flash full beam suggests that the electrical connections are fine. But the switch mechanism is slightly different between flash and full beam.

Yes. Spray a fair amount of WB40 or contact cleaner into the stalk and waggle furiously! (turn your lights off while you do this) You will find this should clean up the contact and the main beam will stay on when you throw the stalk forwards.

I have had the same problem on both my 1991 Audi 80 Sport and my S2...

I got the same on my cabbie, but I read somewhere that I need to change a wire after converting it to HID?
