    Best upgrade for elipsoids

I have fitted elipsoids to my 3b but I need to upgrade to get the best beam I am assuming this means upgrading to a hid kit. So what is the best kit and how much of a pain to fit.

hid kit 6000k rating and iirc h1 kit. Thats what i've always used on my ellipsoids, i've still got my old vagparts kit. Very easy to fit and definately worth it, best mod you will do. Kits on flea bay from china have come down to around £30 delivered

Will these work with non elipsoid headlight units?

Cheap chinese kits work fine in my experience, go for the slim line balast versions as they fit neatly under the headlight itself. Personally i prefer 5000k as there white, 6000k are blue.

They will fit without a problem - But they are illegal to fit & will blind other drivers due to the light scatter.... Not a wise move IMO!!

I never had no problem with them on my non ellipsoid headlights and I know of a lot of people who saw the car with them on and they never complained once. As long as your lights are set up once fitted then no problem.

4100-4300k produce the most daylight like light output and most visible light range .
A lot of people think that higher is better as they are what catches your eye if you are coming towards them but in fact they output less visible light on the road. All OEM HID are 4100-4500k range for this reason. If you are doing it for looks then pick your colour you like , 6000k blue ish and higher still start to go purple , 3000k are deep gold yellow.

second that. I even have 4300K as that is what car manufacturers use when you order OEM xenon.

Although 5000K may look a bit better.
