    Ellipsoids on 3B

Does anyone have details of the wiring mod needed when doing this conversion.

So the dipped beam stays on when the main beam is turned on.

You should do the high voltage wiring first, then it's easy to do that what you want, maybe even optional system with switch. Just use one diode between the relays so that high beam output feeds low beam relay switch input through a diode.

If still you're using the factory loom for the lights, ditch it and make your own to save the light switch and get full voltage to the lights.

After you have done that it's easy to do the simultaneous thingy with just one diode.

Got it now? If not, ask someone that knows a bit about car electrics to interpret this to you.

I'm interested in this, I have ellipsoidal dipped beam but just like Martin (JS) mine go out when main beam comes on. I thought this was normal?!! I can see the appeal of running the full set but having said that, you'll really notice the difference when you go dipped beam...

I have an early ABY that did not have ellipsoids,I fitted them and all I did is change a yellow wire (I think) on the back of the light stalk to a different pin, sorry cant remember off hand which one and they work perfectly.
