Had a quick search but couldn't find an answer to this. The single wipe function on my 94 S2 avant hasn't been working for some time now and, being honest, I've been too lazy to try and sort it out. Since then I've been flicking the wiper stalk on and off to achieve the same result. The latest problem, which may or may not be related, is that when I pull the stalk back for wash/wipe, the wipers seem to be sticking slightly. It does clear but I'm concerned that the problem may get worse or something is about to fail.
I seem to remember that when you pull the stalk back the wipers would start immediatley. This only happens occasionally. Most of the time they only start after releasing the stalk. Sometimes they also stick in a vertical position, although only for a second or two. It's almost as if there is no power getting to them.
Any suggestions as to where I should look first? Switch, relay or motor?
