Diagnostic 7A - What is supported?

I`ve got an typ 89 with the 7A 2,3 20v-engine and was wondering what you can get from the diagnostic in this car?
I have VagCom with 2x2-adapter and can read the fault codes on the engine-ECU, but does this car support annything else? Measuring blocks? ABS-unit?

Very limited, you can monitor measuring block 0 which gives eight readings from memory, the workshop manual will list what each reading is for. Its pretty useless to be honest.

ABS isnt supported on early cars, think that functionality came in around 92,93.

7A supports one half of ****** all for diagnostics really. Group 0 only as Mark says. The ABS system will have some funky proprietary Bosch diags that you cannot access without bespoke Bosch tester.

I see. Do you got a description of what the different readings means?

I`l have to bring this tread up again.
Are you sure that the right channel is "0" ?
On my `89 7A I can only get a reading of the fault codes, not any measurements
Do I have to do something special before I make a reading?

I use a original RossTech VagCom with 2x1 adapter.
