    Alarm playing up

Tried new fob and batteries but still not right. Have to hold the key fob next to the drivers side corner of the windscreen or atually get in the car and hold it to the steering column before it will deactivate the alarm. Any ideas?

Sigma by any chance? I had an old sigma and had trouble when parking in certain spots (fob wouldn't unlock the car unless touching it on the window and jabbing at the button).

Thought it was a bad fob but further investigation revealed that the older sigma alarms operated on the same frequency as certain radios and equipment.

When they were made the frequency was clear but a few years down the line that frequency was put in use.
