Installing the new type of lightswitches

I bought myself a set of handels (light/wiper/indicator/cruisecontroll-switches behing the steeringwheel) of the new type to change out with my old ugly squared set.
But I found out that there where different connectors from the old one.
How do I solve this problem?
Do I need to wire some new connectors to the old harness, or is there an easy fix to this problem? (There are MANY wires too the set)
Anyone done this or got a writeup/ DIY ?

May not apply in your case but I bought a set of stalks with cruise control to replace my set without but I too found the connectors different. What I was able to do was open up the switch unit and I found that the actual arm was attached to the base of the unit with a roll pin so I was able to swap the arms over whilst keeping my original switch unit but ending up with the new arm with cruise control switch on it.

Don't know if it'll help you but be warned openning up the switch unit isn't for the feint hearted as there are several springs and bits waiting to pop out all over the place and you need three hands to get it all back together.
