CDI ignition are so STONG that I think they can work without fuel.. (just kiding) , but I soo how they work on ABY engine (around 700 hp) , the lighting from spark can jump 50-60 cm , guy hold the spark wire maybe 50 cm away from engine , and lighting jump on intake manifold.. it is brutal .. lihe the tunder from sky.. I could not beleve it could happened..

if you have problem with that CDI will definetly fix your problem..

      Howdy

My car has pulled 755hp and 710 ft/lbs on E-85. I use 034 IIc and have used various coils over the history of the car including Hayabusa coils. I currently run coils from a Chrysler 300. I learned this from the Mitsubishi EVO crowd who take this coil to upwards of 1000 hp. I also run Injector Dynamics 2000cc injectors which allow me to get to my horsepower and yet allow the car to idle nicely.

Hap, wit dakine coiling not from Evahboost, Maguire

        I've been using this: http://www.hkseurope.com/electronics/twinpower.asp
with std "Halfords" type coils. Dynoed 580hp/700nm @ wheels (1.8bar) with no ignition problems, but don't know how high it would go before misfire

I'm using the 034 motorsport coils and they didn't like boost pressures above 1.8 bar on the leads the supplied they arched out and put thin tears through the sleeves and boots. I now run custom made Quadcore leads and never had another missfire issue running boost pressures past 2.5bar. So it's worth looking at the leads as a cause if using that type of coilpack.

Today talk with M&W ignition company, will buy pro drag 6 system and some custom coils will see what happen. I will inform you about results. Pressure will be about 3bar so need some strong things.

If you are planning to use boost around or more than 300kPa, then these are not wery good choice. I know two cars witch had spark problems with that setup and high boost, even with very high dwell time, still failed.
But no problems with 034 high output coils.

my car has seen 410 kPa a few times, and i run it normally @ 33-36 psi.

its a drag only car, making >600 AWHP from a 20v 4 cyl. and i take it up to ~92-9300 rpm as well in some gears.

this was on a safe tune, too. E-85 and only 17 degrees timing, lower rpm and boost levels than was the ultimate plan for that motor.

did i mention i use stock 115R revision coil-on-plug setup? Autronic ECU, runs the stock COP's just fine.

                all i got to add.

                good luck with the adventures

Maybe that is the problem... these cars ran 26 to 28 degrees timing from boost start to end (7500RPM), and other one with water/methanol injection 33-34 degrees. With that kind of timing on both cars these coils sarted to fail around 300kPa, so the boost had to be lowered.

What about the timing? lets say 6000RPM and 330kPa?
If thats also low, something around 20 degrees, then thats maybe why they did not work on these cars.

Dont worry this audi made 20 000km in this option. Now in this video turbo is Garrett GT37 ball bearing, but pressure goes down as you see in video. So turbo will be used much bigger CT43, engine performance can't tell, just this engine is 2200cc 20v trottle bodieded.
