Of course you can use it! I don't mind...anything for a fellow T44 lover

My VEMS is for 3b. I do recall talking a while back, but I don't remember the details. AMDistheBest is also running VEMS on his 3b now.
    thanks for picture..

well but I have AAN ECU in car .. I kicked out 3B with big smile on my face..

5 ignition coils are much better than distributor. now I use it only for a hall sensor .

too bad that you didn't take AAN (VEMS) .. 5 coils are 5 coils..

rs, think of it like this: if you spend time learning to tune, at least you will know what is wrong with it and have more possibilities in the future.

in November i installed a VEMS on a friend's rs2 with GT3071R and green top injectors and it took me about half a day to get it up and running nicely, the way he wanted the car to run( 95oct fuel and human boost levels). Thats because i had the same setup and cams on mine, and i had a map that i knew it already worked. So its not that difficult if you have somewhere to start from and obviously spend sometime reading about it.

I am not a tuner, so i didnt take any money for this, and of course i will never be as experienced as a tuner is, But the engine wont die because of the map i used!

Don't buy SQ MAF. Don't waste money on that.
The connection schematic is not precise at all and the MAF can cost as much as entire VEMS because it is no longer produced in available quantities.

Either go HFM5 and Motronic or go VEMS, forget SQ MAF.

              I use MAF from Audi RS4 B5.
It is nice because you can fit a 3.5" filter on it.

How to connect - well, let's just say I am not going to post that in public.
On B5 S4's and RS4's it reads to about 450whp. So that's close to 600 crank.
Should be enough for your needs, yes?

Btw, the element inside might be the same as LADA NIVA - I am not joking. But you need the RS4 MAF to have the correct housing.
All the connectors you can use from LADA, no problem.

              Part number for MAF is 077 133 471 K or 077 133 471 KX.
If you buy from USA, it will only cost 160$ brand new + 25$ shipping.

VAG part number for the RS4 MAF connector seems to be 1J0973775A and 4A0906102 for the grommet. Would be nice to find a connector for the OEM-MAF connector plug, then it would be easy to do a adapter.

                      Forget those MAF's.
I have not seen one car running really well with them, even from the big German tuning companies.
Part of the problem is because they take unregulated 12V to boost MAF output signal.

Not to mention your ECU will need half of it's maps changed.

I agree. If you can find the connector for the standard MAF then it would be really nice.

Btw, you don't have to buy the VW stuff, you can in all seriousness buy it from LADA.
                        Might be cheaper that way

sport quattro maf on I5 use gacky oh his s4 AAN. (gacky-forum nick name). and work perfect. if you want to use SQ MAF you will need special adapter. and cost or that MAF is over 1000 euro.. when this maf (one day) will be broken.. what than? buy a new one?for 1000 or rs4 for 150 euro?

Only provider of this solution is prj?

Doesn't placing the MAF on the pressure side address most of these issues of broken MAFs?
