bleep when i remove the ignition key?

    Hi guys,

I am now a proud owner of an S2 thanks to DPR S2. As with any new car I will be learning the ins and outs asap, I own a V6E too so know a fair bit already.

I did a search for this but couldnt find anything so hoping someone can shed some light on this.

Every now and then when I turn the ignition off and remove the key there is a bleep noise. This doesnt happen everytime.

Also what is the recomended to time to allow the turbo to cool befor turning off? (this is my first turbo'd car)

    Appriciate any help guy.

    Dobby

It could be a reminder from the radio to remove the faceplate, or something to do with your alarm. Congrats on the S2

you havent left your lights on have you?!

as for cooling the turbo, I leave it standing at idle for a minute if i've been heavy on the throttle just before pulling up. I try to keep away from boost and heavy acceleration a few mins from home.

The car has an after-run cooling system for the turbo incase the temp does get a bit high though.

      enjoy it!

        Yeah, probably radio/alarm.

As for the turbo, as said, avoid getting any major boost on for the last couple of miles home and let it stand for a minute before shutting off. Personally I have a road full of speed bumps that enforces this regime.

Cheers for the quick replies. Loving the S2, its a whole new world of power and grip.:-)
Never thought of the radio face plate, it doesnt do it all the time though.
As for cooling, I have been doing the above so should be all good. What kind of boost is expected from the standard car, it has been fitted with a boost gauge which reads just over 1Bar when in the throttle and as little as -0.8bar when off the throttle, idles at -0.5bar. Is the kind of readings that should be expected?

Those values on the boost gauge sound OK - if you want to feel what its like when boost hits 1.4-1.5bar then give me a shout - heheh !

I have read about the chiptunes available for the S2 and would be interested in knowing what you can offer?

I like the interior it has,
Apparently it is very rare and completely original. THe bolsters havent worn at all and the cloth is in amazing condition.
I like having something that is a little different from the rest plus you slide about on leather seats when on the track.
