heater is not working on my s4, fuse ok, but where can i get some tech info, bently? haynes? to see if its the motor or resistor funnily enough if i switch on the ac the compressor works

My S6 is the same. There are no fault codes, so I'm assuming it's something to do with an airblock in the heating system or a faulty heater matrix. Dash is coming out so planning to replace heater matrix (and cabin filter - where is that located?) and flush coolant system. Hopefully that will solve it.
I should add, that if I turn the climate up to HI it gets fairly warm, and if I drive the car hard it gets warm, whatever temp the climate is set to...

You can check the climate control unit for fault codes. Have a search for climate diagnostics.'93 S4 Avant now back on the road complete with new shiny go faster bits.Comment
