Votex Remote Central Locking Kit - WTB

Does anyone know the part number or where I might one of these kits ?

The idea of the quick plug and play appeals to me.

If the kit is no longer available, what other options would people suggest ? Think I'm only looking for a CL kit, rather than an alarm as well.

Avant has factory immobiliser, although slightly alarmed about a comment recently on here that if you know what you're doing the factory immobiliser can be circumvented easily ? News to me, then I don't get out much.

Thanks for any suggestions on the initial Votex request above.

There are kits on eBay starting around £15 but you'd have to do the wiring yourself rather than it being plug and play, so it's a case of you pays ur money and takes ur choice! Either way, the place to pick up the wiring is by the combined Audi central locking pump and alarm unit.

These units just mirror what happens electrically when you turn the key in the door so don't change the alarm or any other functions. If the unit you buy has an alarm function, you just ignore that and don't wire anything to the alarm bit just use the wires for the central locking.

I don't know if the immobiliser is easy to circumvent or not but on a standard car it's inside the Motronic ECU - plus a remote sensor unit by the ignition switch - and is nothing to do with the alarm/central locking so won't be affected by adding any remote unit like the one you're considering.
