Recalibrate speedo?

No worries. Having sold faces to a few 160mph owners, I was certain that this was the case All this is academic anyway, as my idea will make things worse

if the gauge read up to 180mph and the 180 was about where the 165 is on the S2 face it would be about right I recon!

Well you're in luck, because I have complete sets of RS2 dial faces here

@Rusty... this could be benched quite easily. I have built circuits that emulate the speedo sender in the gearbox so I could quite easily create a plot of frequency to indicated speed on the factory dials... then you'd know how to skew an aftermarket dial face to be more accurate.

Of course... differing tyres/wheels etc will have an impact on things - there is a bit of mathematical fun to be had there to correlate speedo sender frequency with 205/55 on 16" for example - and then be aware that other sizes would be +/- 1~3% off from that - better than 10~15% error we have from zee factory.

Let me know if you want me to help look into this - I have a lovely multichannel scope on loan for just a few weeks - after that a lottery win is needed to buy a similar device.
