    500W Fan override

    Hey guys!
I've installed the 500W Rs2 fan in my 3b coupe. Or, it's in there, but not working.
I've got an appointment for wheel alignment tomm, and I need to somehow make the fan work for the short drive over there.

When connected to the original connectors, it (not surprisingly) pops the 30amp fuse.
Can i give it 12v from the battery without damaging anything?
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

    -CQ 3b "S2".

Hmmm...you need an resistor pack for that..but..
you can install battery + wire via an switch...and look at the temp gauge.
Make sure you have an thick wire for the job...as the 500watt fan uses a 70 or 80 amps fuse.
    Hope this helps!

You can straight wire it, but you need to fuse it using at least a 70A fuse. Audi used an ATC style "maxi fuse" for this.
