  • Broken Alarm Sensor

Hi all, recently purchased a coupe and got it for a good price as there were a few minor niggles that needed seeing to. One of these was that the alarm sensor (see pics) on the drivers side was missing the front and little plastic clip that holds it in place. Now I thought this was going to be easy to track down, but Audi says they do not supply them as 'Yes' it is factory fit but they now don't deal with them.

Advised to go to car alarm specialist, so off to specialist who then advised me to go to Audi?!?!

I've been told however that it is a Scorpion (Could anyone correct me?)

Does anyone know where I could get such a replacement item?

    Cheers

It's one of the old dealer fit alarms. Can't remember is it is a scorpion or a logic. I had a load of spare bits for these alarms a while back but the girlfriend made me throw them out.

Not going to be easy to buy new. VAG don't do them anymore and I doubt you'll find anywhere with them on the shelf. Might be worth checking ebay. There was a guy selling loads of alarm bits and bobs he had taken out of cars.

There's a chance someone on the trade stands at Audi driver will have one. There are guys there who sell off old dealer stocks so you might find something hidden away there.

Cheers Ben, Just found out that they also fitted in Mk2 Golfs among others, so It may be a case of a trip to a breakers yard with a few tools.
