has anybody fit a turbo timer??

ive tried to fit a g-reddy turbo timer but it just does not work. i believe the alarm in teh cause or its the handbrakes thats sends the wrong pulse, ive rigged it to send opposite pulse and still nothing, so im thinking its the immobiliser, has anybody else got around this issue??

Personally the last cpl of miles don't hammer it. Cruise to a hold, idle for 20secs or so and then let the after run system do its job.

Alternatively use a turbo timer and reduce the lifespan of your engine from throwing fuel down the bores at idle before shutting down.

Same as when you start your car in the morning. You want to start driving as soon as possible. Not heavily but just driving to stop all that extra fuel from cold start ruining your bores.

Cut the idle out. Idling stationary - without the airflow from moderate gentle driving - actually increases turbo temperatures.

I've mentioned it before and I will again, if you've got a turbo timer you're alright leaving it on your own driveway with the engine running, but leave it on a roadside and you're technically committing the offence of leaving a motor vehicle unattended.

I've always gone with what the EGT gauge says. As I'm measuring before the turbo the logical assumption is if the EGT's are dropping so is the turbo temperature. Start leaving it for much longer and yes they go back up again. Even so we're looking at around 420celsius
