Booster Pack

Has anyone got or used a booster pack to jump start your car.
I have one but after 16 hours of charging, it still didn't have enough juice to start the old girl, the in car voltmeter was only reading about 10V when the pack was connected.
What power, volts and amps, do I need?

Anything below 11.9v and the battery is discharged

Hi, I use one bought from Machine Mart - had to charge it for over 36 hours before the first use - used it on a lot of stuff from diesels to motorbikes

aye, knackered at that, 13 volts be more realistic
i ve fitted anderson connectors to the landy and one end of the jump leads, at least no more pratting around taking bonnet up n battery cover off each time i get a car going
