    Fuel pump relay rating

Hi, what is the current rating for the fuel pump relay fitted in my cq20v.

from the wiring diagram i can see it powers the fuel pump and also the injectors, but i want to keep as much oem wiring and relays as possible for my ABZ engine swap using 034 stage IIc. I want to run the extra 3 injectors off this 12v feed, and if there is enough over head maybe the coils too. If not i will use the 12v feed to trigger an additional relay and fuses for the ignition coils.

    Cheers,

    Kieron.

I would go with 2nd relay that is triggered by fuel pump relay to supply 12V to the coils.

Cool, thought as much. Much better to hear it from you paul, i know you like your wires

would 30A be sufficient for 8 coils? 30amp relay then two 15a feeds for each bank?

Reckon on ~4A per coil... S2/RS2 is 20A on the coil fuse so yeah a 15A per bank smells right.

On the C4 UrS4 and UrS6, with the battery under the rear seat, it is better/easier to add a second relay to relay the fuel pump directly to the battery. This takes load off the J17 fuel pump relay.
