OK. Eventually got the codes checked.
00515 Hall Sender G40, Sporadic: Short circuit to earth.
00544 Maximum Boost Pressure Exceeded. Sporadic: Implausible signal
00513 Engine Speed Sender G28 - No signal
Full marks go to Rich (Hoffer76) for correct early diagnosis!
Yeah, replace the Hall sender, but first check it's wiring and connector and make sure they are OK.
Pretty sure the other code is because it goes into limp mode without Hall sender signal, and that has much lower boost threshold.
The wires are usually not soldered to the pins inside the connector, they are just crimped.
I would just try and solder them, that has fixed many MAF connectors for me in the past.
Sounds similar to my issue. Does rev counter instantly drop to zero at same time. Just spent 4 hours checking all supplies to my ECU and removed and cleaned contacts on fuel pump relay too that looked a bit pitted. IF sensor and cable checks ok back to ECU pins then start checking all supplies and earths...

No, the tacho and speedo keep working.
It might not be connected but the car also sounds like it has a missfire occasionally.
My bro thought it sounded like brief fuel starvation?
Wierd. I appreciate all the help and suggestions chaps.
Brief fuel starvation might mean the fuel pump relay is acting up or some problem with the wiring.
I remember your car being perfectly healthy when I mapped it Lloyd, so whatever it is, it is a recent problem.
If you have fuel starvation the car will start coughing and then slowly cut out. It will not be instant.
Thanks for the advice Dmitri. Yes my car was indeed in tip top order.
Just need to get a fix on this issue. Car has now gone into limp mode.
Only seeing 0.7 bar max boost and feels very flat.
