Help required getting radio signal to stereo.

I currently have a Kenwood stereo in my A6 C4 quattro and since i have put the stereo in i have not recieved a radio signal. I have it connected at the back of the stereo but for some reason still no signal. The car i removed it from the stereo worked fine. Car had no stereo in it when i bought it.

I am wondering what route the wire takes to get to the ariel at the rear on the car. (bee sting)?

Any help would be great.

Try another aerial as your aerial base may be blown. Mine was.

I have found a black wire in the passenger footwell tonight. It travels up the pillar to the.rear I.am guessing.

It is thicker wire than usual. Any ideas what this is for? How to fix?

The chances are that the black wire you've found is fine.
What you need is another aerial to plug in, substituting your old aerial.
If your radio works, bingo, your booster in the base of the bee sting aerial on the roof is dead.

I need to change mine as it's also not working and suffered from water corrosion/damage somehow.

Forgot to say the black wire has been cut. Found it under the passengers side footmat. Could this be my problem. Will try another Ariel.
