    ODBII to iPhone/iPad

Here's an ODBII to iPhone/iPad dock connector cable. A bit short at 1.5m, I know. There are also quite a few apps on the App Store for in-car diagnostics. Nothing like VAGCOM, but still looks cool.

    Anyone tried this?

One fly in the oinment: None of the I5 20vt engines (3B, AAN, ABY or ADU) are OBD2, only OBD1.

For the I5 engines yes, but what about for newer Audis? I've now updated my signature too

A few wireless solutions for iphone/ipod Touch:

          PLX for around $150: http://www.plxkiwi.com/kiwiwifi/

What looks like the same thing for $68: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wifi-WLAN-OB...item3366dda82d

Bluetooth OBD2 solutions for Android are ridiculously cheap on Ebay:

Pretty cool stuff. Thinking about getting a wifi one for my ipod touch even though I have two vagcom cables for the serious stuff.

There is none, because OBD 1 does not specify almost anything, so there is no common protocol implemented.
