    Airbag ECU sensor help

    Hi

I'm swapping over a faulty airbag sensor and there's a wire that's connected to one of the three sensor securing bolts that's not connected to anything at the other end. I was removing the console and touched the end of it by mistake and could feel some pulsing.

See attached pic. I can't see an obvious bolt that the the loose spade end should attach too.

    Anyone know please?

    Thanks

PS I've disconnected the battery now.

That looks like the ground/earth wire from a radio/cd unit someone has fitted to the car and used one of the airbag ECU mounting bolts as a convenient chassis ground. It certainly doesn't look like a wire in the original factory loom.

There was a recall on the airbag system to fit additional earthing but IIRC this was at the steering wheel, not the ECU.
