What is this connector?

What might be this unplugged connector in the passenger side kickpanel, near the AC and the ECU? Could it be something to do with footwell lights or what?

It's the coding/Diagnostic plug T6d..

it is not used on most S2's

this is diagnostic for what? engine ? or something else?
