For reference, just in case....
Made the mistake of taking out my numberplate lights on my RS2 at the weekend to see if they could be cleaned and, you guessed it, they disintegrated before my eyes ! Managed to get them working again but needed to replace both of them.
During my search I discovered that the Audi part number is 8AO943021 but the Porsche part number is 964'631'620'00'01C which may prove to be a better source, and cheaper... from Porscheshop for £16 for ex....
These turn out to be the same lights as fitted to most of the porsche range since about 1995, 944, 968 and 911, 993 so should be plentyfull. The RS2 number is only available from Audi...
