They don't work
Engine running, headlights on, wash windscreen- and nothing from headlamp jets.
Before I start investigating- any suggestions that could save me hours? Or am I wasting my time. Not of great importance, but I would like to get it working if poss.
Wheel off, arch liner out and you can get to the pump easily, there are two mounted in the bottom of the washer bottle, one for the windscreen and one for the headlamps.
You will need to clean to find all the bolts/plastic nuts
I deleted mine as I did not like soapy, wax striping soap all over my bonnet.
Having second thoughts now due to the new MOT HID/washer rule.
My pumps fubar'ed too

"For what you spent on that you could have brought a new car"
BUT I DON'T WANT A NEW CAR!
1995 S2 Avant, Volcano Black
1982 VW Golf Mk1, primer yellow, will be finished one day, maybe.
2003 VW T4 long nose X pack, (has become project)
I have removed the whole water tank, wired the pump to the windscreen washer pump and mounted a smaller bottle near the rad. It means there fine for mot time and saves weight in the front
Cheers for the drawings, Andy
Can anyone tell me which relay to look for, in case it's been removed? And whilst I'm on the subject- where can I get a wiring diagram (in English, cos the only one I could find for my UR was in German, and was hard work trying to follow)

It's the relay with 275 on the top of it and it sits in the main fusebox accessable from under the bonnet. It's position is labeled on the cover as Headlamp washer control unit.
You can find electrical wiring diagrams at S2central.net along with relay layout diagrams.
So the first thing for me to do is nip to the Motor factors for a blade fuse carrier to fit near the pump. any idea what the current draw would be?
Thanks for the nod
