Hello everyone. Is there anyone out there that understands to the wiring for the electric tilt and slide sunroof. My 1992 s2 coupe sunroof is dead however i connected the motor to a 12v feed and it opens shuts etc perfectly. Therefore ruling out the motor and the mech as a culprit. My windows work fine but decided to look at the relay. The solder looks fine but i noticed that occasionally while messing about putting relay back in that the switch illuminaton would flicker.
There is a thick black and black/white stripe (lloks like thick speaker wire) going to termials in the switch. Strangely enough after taking the stereo out ( wiring for this is a mess) i noticed wiring as described above that had been cut and steroe wires spliced in. I tried connecting these back up but it made no difference.
I am happy with spanners and oily bits but car wiring always perplexes me. Can anyone tell me, are the wires that have been cut behind the stereo part of the sunroof wiring?
I'm a little concerned that the wiring for the Clifford alarm has been bodged.
