In my Audi 200 the dash lights sometimes does not work correctly.
Not all, but blinkers, the hi-beams sometimes gets inverted ie. the hi-beam light is on although the hi-beams aren't on and turns off when the hi-beams are turned on. And in blinkers if I put blinker left the right blinker light blinks almost normally and left one very faintly and other way around.
Also when dash goes to this state the center part of the dash goes dark, ie. the backlight turns off from computer part. Dash function does not affect on how the lights work outside. Everything works just fine outside.
I noticed this in the winter time already and removed the dash and re-soldered all the connections in pcb. (not the computer part, but the actual dash). I thought it helped, but no. It's still acting up like before.
Any one else have had same problem? I'm thinking that the problem might be in light switch since those blinkers and hi-beam indicator lights are connected so simple that I doubt that the problem could be in dash anymore, although it's of course possible. Of course this could be ground issue, but I'm not sure which ground connection would be bad and where to look.
It seems that temperature has something to do with this or vibration. Usually it's not on right away when I put lights on, but can activate when been driving sometime. Now that the temperature is getting warmer it seems that the problem is more frequent.
