1991 3B diagnostic plug woes

After searching this fine forum for an explaination as to why my under-bonnet fuse box didn't have the 2x2 connection my later 1995 coupe does, I went under the dash in search of them.

Someone worse than wiring than me has fitted the alarm and I can't find where they should be. Any assistance appreciated.







I assumed they should be just above the accelerator pedal where there's a wee door in the trim. All that was there was this:


My brother is an electrician so will clean up the cabling for me, but I spent a good while looking and couldn't find the connectors I thought I should be looking for.

Just pull the carpet back a little and look behind the plastic trim where the bonnet release cable is.

If you still can't find it you will need to trace the Engine loom back from the fusebox.

I can explain where to look if it's not behind the carpet.

Pulled the carpet and trim back as far as I could before deciding just to remove the trim in case they had been tucked away. Still nothing. I started to trace the loom as far back as I could and they were shoved right up there!
