blink codes ???

  • blink codes ???

    had a stab at reading blink codes. using s2 central guide. but when i connect a 12 lamp (not led ?) across the black and blue plug, before i in sert the jumper wire the light is on even with key off, any one experiance this before.
    1991 S2 3B Coupe, KW v1, solid sub frames, poly bushed, chipped, about 260 ish

    There is a reason for specifying the use of an LED bulb. It only lets current flow in one direction. An incandescent doesn't give a toss.

      Code readers are virtually free of of charge ($8 delivered) these days, so really no need to sit and count blinks from a LED lamp:

      You need the 2x2 adapter as well, but it will only set you back $3 or so.

      The standalone units that work without a laptop are very nice as well. I have one in all my cars in case I run into trouble on the road:
