    Blink codes vs Vagcom?

    Hi guys,

I was wondering is it the same if I try to use blink codes with LED or use Vagcom to get fault codes from AAN ECU?

Does Vagcom read something else or it doesn't matter, both ways will get exactly same results?

    Best regards!

OK, so what I see with blink codes I can see also with Vagcom and there is no way that one method is "better" that the other and can show "more" fault codes?

On some cars, e.g. North American AAN-powered C4 S4/S6s, the blink codes are free (we have a check engine light in the instrument cluster that blinks as the codes are pulled). VAG-COM costs you the cost of the software and cables plus the cost of the lap top to make it work.
