Automatic AAN ecu in manual gearbox car

Hello, swapped AAN engine of Audi S4 automatic to Audi 90Q. In neutral it revs nicely, but with a gear in it doesn't run. Is there any trick to make it work or it's time to get the ecu from a manual car?

Pop: But your conversion was in a C4 UrS6. This one is an AAN into an 90 so some needed relays, etc. will be missing.

Read about ECU pin 42/55 and 51/55 in this ECU pin-out post:

Also there is a jumper on the OE AAN central relay panel that gets involved with the neutral/park position:

European spec manuals did not necessarily come with the "204" back-up light relay in position 4. Instead, they came with a factory jumper to get around the automatic park/neutral starting interlock wiring, as shown here:

What electrical modifications are involved into this tipe of conversion?

          UrS4boy:
I believe that jumper is for starter, no problems with starting the car, just it doesn't drive well, completely no power.
Have read that site before creating the thread. Grounded pin 42/55, but didn't do anything with pin
51/55, should I ground it too? Kickdown should be active?

ECU does not matter, only difference with ECU is that automatic ecu has 6600 rev limit and different idle/warmup maps/calibration, basically stuff that relates to the automatic gearbox...

But it will run just fine on a manual gearbox.

If there is no power, first pull the fault codes, and if there are none, leave the ECU alone, and start looking at the rest of the car.

Must a language problem. By "completely no power" I understood that the engine stopped running. Now I understand that what you meant is the power is there but it is not up to your expectations. "Completely no power" means none not some.

Looks like prj has pointed you to look elsewhere, like:

              1. is the ECU connected to the intake manifold (and moisture trap) so the MAP gets a signal and the ECU can provide some boost control? http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/20401.phtml

              2. is the ECU connected to a functioning N75 Waste Gate Frequency Valve so it can provide some boost control? http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/20987.phtml

              3. Do you have a boost leak?

Have borrowed a chipped ecu from a manual S4 and it works like a charm, overboosts up to 1.1bar with K24. That is strange :/

You might want to send your Autobox AAN ECU to prj in Estonia for sorting and chipping, etc. He should be able to fix whatever is sick with your ECU.

                    1.1 bar is normal.
You should describe your symptoms a bit better as in - what is happening and what is not.

Because as already pointed out "no power" means engine does not start.
So it seems it was in limp mode instead...

Ecu from automatic car: stars perfectly, in neutral and first gear runs great, in second gear it looks like a fuel cut (limp mode?) at 3-4k rpm, same with other gears.

It could be the chipped ECU has had all safe guards raised up ( bad tuned ECU ),
there is a lot of them about, do you know the tuner of the borrowed ECU ?
                        Don't assume anything.

Yeah probably 2nd ecu is chipped and car has a leak....
I have seen auto ecu's on manual cars without problems many times, even with auto software.

So to be 100% sure it would be good to pull out the fault codes of the auto ecu and/or get a non chipped ecu from manual
