Help me identify connectors in engine bay

I'm currently cleaning up my engine bay, and I found two connectors on the drivers side (LHD) that I'm curious about.

Never mind the two wire ends on one of the pics, they are part of the old fan wiring, and were removed as part of the cleanup.

    Thanks!

I have all the bits and pieces for the cruise, but didn't bother to install it. Didn't think I'd be cruising much anyway.

yup 3 pin is cruise control vacuum pump.
blue one could be the heater temp sensor if you have climate control, or the evap solenoid if it is over by the coolant tank

Heater temp sensor? Where does that go?

              I had a bet on afterrun-pump, as I don't have one.

heater temp sensor goes in the pipe to the heater matrix... but only on digital climate cars

Allright, I'll have a look into that this weekend. I have digital climate control, but heater fan isn't working. That's another thing I have to look into. When I turn the ignition on, I only get a short blip of 3-4v to the fan.

What exactly does the sensor do?

It just tells the Climate ECU the coolant temperature
Maybe you have a problem with the fan speed controller. You can use one off B5 A4 or Passat I think, much easier to find
